Sky: Logo Design & BSM

This project is a collaborative academic project. We designed a sports brand named Sky, in which we created the brand and a brand standards manual. I was in charge of creating the graphics for the manual and the following pages below.Below is a section of the brand standards manual and a link to the full PDF.

I Choose You!: Icon Book

This project is a collaborative academic project done with a partner. We created icons of characters from Pokémon using the golden ratio and compiled it into an icon book. The book details the final result as well as how the golden ratio was used to create the icons.
My roles involved creating the bottom row of icons (image 1) and the book.
Below are the completed icons as well as a link to the complete PDF book, including brainstorming and concepts.

Photo Editing & Photography

These are photos that I have taken and edited previously at Straga Products. They are a small business focused on creating handmade wooden products including engraved cutting boards and furniture. Each photo was set up and taken by me. After this, I selected the best photos, edited out imperfections, added engravings, and fixed the lighting or colours in Photoshop.

Character Name Logo Design

This is the process for creating character name logos for the main characters in IDOLiSH7, showcasing the process from start to finish. The logos will use the character's name to create a logo that fits them.

The first character I created a logo for is Iori Izumi. These are specific traits to his character:• Blue image colour
• Cool and composed
• Likes cute things
• Order and organization is important to him
His personality and appearance is sharp and refined. On top of his cool demeanour, I determined that his logo would be clean and simple to reflect his personality.I decided to go with a palette that would be monochromatic, with the most colour being his image colour. A monochromatic logo has a more corporate and clean feel to it which reflects his character.I proceeded to make some sketches (see below), mostly using squares as the shape as squares have a very organized and reliable feel to them.

After creating the diamond 'O' variation of the design, I changed the colour to help the shape stand out and stress the sharp shape even further. However, the design was a little plain, so I looked for some other shapes that would be interesting within the letters.I tried filling in letters or seeing if I could fit in the double flat shape, but these did not work. I attempted to draw a similar shape within the 'Z' and realized that it looked similar to an hourglass. I got the idea that since he is someone who values being punctual and orderliness that an hourglass would still represent his character.I turned the 'Z' into an hourglass and filled the drawing in blue so that the 'Z' can still be recognized as a letter. I also added the dripping sand to make it more obvious that it was an hourglass. This is the one spot that I opted to use circles instead of a harder shape because it would separate it from the hourglass shape to make it more obvious that it is sand, and he still has a soft side to him that is hidden. I believe this was an effective way to slightly show off that side.

I tried a number of different layouts to see what sort of shape I wanted to go for. The double flat sign (bb) is his character symbol that I attempted to incorporate, but I personally found that difficult due to the symbol being mostly round. This conflicted with the initial decision to use only squares for the shape.I eventually came down to the two layouts in the middle, one with a diamond 'O' and the other with the double flat in the middle. In concept, the double flat was not a bad idea but once it was made using my font of choice, the rounded shape didn't work well, nor did it fit perfectly within the names. This broke the symmetry, so I proceeded with the diamond 'O' sketch.

Poster & Booklet Designs

These are sample poster or booklet designs that I've created to showcase the range of designs that I can create. I am generally focused on clean, modern designs, but always willing to explore and try something new.

Simply Soap Brand Concept

As a personal project, I created a full branding package. Simply Soap is a eco-friendly, vegan, handcrafted soap brand. For this brand concept, I created the brand identity, logo, marketing material mockups, and Instagram tiles. The following slide deck was created using Canva.
